A true ‘bong’ in many ways, Akash Chattopadhyaya hails from Calcutta but is head over heels for Dilli, which he considers to be one of the greatest historical cities on earth. Having inherited a long tradition of love and awareness of history, his obsession with the subject and the dedication of his life to it were early developments. Akash did his schooling from Calcutta, attained a B.A. degree with Honours in History from Ramjas College, University of Delhi and is currently pursuing a Masters in History from DU itself. As a governing body member, he brings to the table an association with ITISARAS from its inception, a deep appreciation of the society’s aims and a genuine affection for India’s historical and cultural treasures.
