Heritage Walks

As a part of Dharohar, we conduct Heritage Walks for school students, to explore the neglected wealth of our city. Through our professionally guided walks, conducted by Heritage Walk Experts, students are able to intimately relate to the various historic parts of the city by integrating it with classroom learning. In addition to that, the walks are curated in a manner wherein the history of the monuments is communicated by engaging through the medium of storytelling. Our experts and team members will put forward their earnest efforts in portraying the past and its realities in its truest form.

An impressively old city, Delhi remains the hub for old relics that continue to take us back in time so we can unfold the many layers of its history. In unison with the participating students, we shall unveil, one chapter at a time, the treasure that is Delhi.

Our previous walks were a major success. They were deep and insightful and also gained media coverage. While we can pride on that fact, it was definitely more satisfying for us that the walk was an enriching and eye-opening experience for the students as well as the faculty members.

A Heritage Walk would rejuvenate the young minds and for us, the underlying idea behind every task is to engage students in it and make them comfortable with their ideas to create a space where they feel psychologically safe. It is not only, but also an initiative aimed at making the students feeling worthy instead of feeling inferior and living in this society, to help them understand that they are very much a part of this world and culture which is an essential element of their everyday living. It is only then that our motive of development of cultural identity, personality, values and mindset, free from any confusions and misinterpretations, will succeed. Furthermore, our aim to ‘Recover, Rediscover and Re-engage’ with the flourished proponents of great Indian heritage will accomplish.
